Due to the current health situation, the 32nd annual Al’s Alumni basketball games at Reedsville scheduled for April 25 have been cancelled.
Al Peters, head basketball coach at Reedsville High School for 16 years (1963-79), has been inviting his past players, assistant coaches, managers and cheerleaders to participate in this event for the past 31 years. The event this year was to include teams from 1980-2015. Girls’ basketball players thru the 2014-15 season were also invited to play in a game.
This event is a scholarship fundraiser. Last year a $5,000 scholarship was presented to a student-athlete at graduation. Although the games are cancelled, another $5000 scholarship will still be presented to a graduating senior-athlete.
