BRILLION – There’s a new drive-in on the east side of the Shopko Hometown retail store at Ryan Street and Achievement Drive – but it wasn’t intentional.

Around noon on Monday, March 26, Brillion Police, Fire and Ambulance were all dispatched to the Shopko outlet on the west side of the city after a car drove through the east exterior wall of the building.

Police cordoned off both entrances to the store’s parking lot, essentially closing the store temporarily. An officer said there appeared to be no injuries.

Police were using a drone to check the building’s roof for damages. The sheet metal wall of the building was peeled back as the car went into the building – where it remained out of sight.

The metal veneer paneling on the wall may have to be removed for a wrecker to pull the car from the store.

No timeline for the reopening of the store was available at 12:55 p.m.  Undated information will be posted at www.thebrillionnews.com as it becomes available.
