Asphalt maze: State to close part of U.S. 10 for week

HARRISON – The state Department of Transportation will be closing U.S. 10 from the 10-114 split to County N for seven days – from August 7 through August 14.

Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on U.S. 10 from State 114 to Calumet County N beginning 5 a.m., Monday, Aug. 7 through 7 a.m., Monday, Aug. 14. Westbound and eastbound US 10 will be closed and detoured for the duration of maintenance work to allow concrete to cure.

A signed detour will be in place.

Westbound U.S. 10 detour: Take U.S. 10 west to County N north to County KK, then west to State 441 west back to U.S. 10.

Eastbound U.S. 10 detour: Take U.S. 10 east to State 114 east to County N north back to U.S. 10 east.

Access will be maintained to property owners and businesses in the maintenance work zone.

Maintenance operation schedules can change due to weather and maintenance crew manpower.
