The following press release was issued by the Brown County Sheriff's Office.
At approximately 10:23 a.m. on Monday September 5, 2022 inmate Justin James Dietrich 7/7/87 escaped from the Brown County Jail. He was being held on charges of Manufacture/Delivery of Amphetamines, Manufacture/Delivery of Fentanyl, Possession with Intent to Deliver Amphetamines, Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Alter Identity Marks and Fraud. His bond is set at $3000.00. He was serving a probation sentence until 12/19/22 for Domestic Violence Disorderly Conduct.
Inmate Dietrich was last seen wearing a blue shirt and pants along with a white under shirt. He exited the loading dock area of the jail and headed east through the farm fields. He resides on CTH JJ in Wausaukee. He is not known to be armed or an immediate danger to the community.
Inmate Dietrich is believed to have escaped due to an argument with his girlfriend. Brown County is currently investigating the escape and seeking additional information on inmate Dietrich’s girlfriend and other potential destinations.
