Fake money is circulating the area.

Ashwaubenon Public Safety is asking citizens and merchants to be aware that there have been numerous reports recently of fake money being being passed. One of the most common seen has been the $100 bill which clearly states “For Motion Picture Use Only” on it.

If someone tries passing one of these please phony bills as real currency, try to get as much identifying information as possible including license plate numbers and call your local police.

If you have information as to who is passing these bills as counterfeit and wish to be anonymous you can contact Green Bay Crime Stoppers at http://www.432stop.com/ or by phoning 920-432-STOP. You may be eligible for a “real” cash reward.

The photo of a fake $100 bill was provided by the Ashwaubenon Department of Public Safety.
