HILBERT – At the Hilbert School Board meeting on Monday, June 17, school district Business Manager Jason Grenzer will update the board on the status of the school budget for the 2019-2020 school year.

He had originally predicted a deficit of over $200,000, with the district making up for the shortfall by tapping into its fund balance or savings.

At the May board meeting, though, Grenzer identified several factors that saved money during the 2018-2019 budget year – and those savings could prevent the need to dip as deep into savings to operate schools for the coming school year.

The meeting will be held in the school library at 6:30 p.m., and is open to the public.

At the meeting Superintendent Tony Sweere is scheduled to update the district’s long-range facilities plan.
