Lions score late to win second straight conference title

KOHLER - Mason Behnke found his way into the end zone on fourth-and-goal with 2:24 remaining to give Brillion a 21-18 win against Kohler-Sheboygan Lutheran-Sheboygan Christian (KLC) on Friday night.


The win gave the Lions their second straight Eastern Wisconsin Conference championship.


KLC entered the game 8-0 overall. Brillion entered 7-1 overall. Both teams were 6-0 in conference action.


The game was back and forth and featured signature plays from Brillion. The Lions held onto a 7-6 halftime lead following a goal line stand from the 1-yard line just before halftime.


Mitch Kaderabek scored two touchdowns for the Lions.


The Lions will know who they play in the first round of the playoffs later this weekend.
