OBITUARY: Lyle Miller

Lyle Miller, age 71, of Brillion. On June 14th, 2018, above the beauty of the Northwoods, the heavenly gates opened as God called home his son, our brother, uncle, great uncle, god father and friend.  Lyle passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at his favorite home away from home in the Northwoods of Crivitz.

Lyle was born November 20th, 1946 in Manitowoc; the son of Norbert and Gertrude (Schumacher) Miller. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Brillion High School.  He worked at the Ariens Co. until his retirement. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the West Maple Grove Hunting Club. Lyle enjoyed the outdoors and his endless miles of driving from his home in Brillion to his home up north and all across the countryside.  While he wasn’t out taking a drive, he enjoyed watching his favorite TV shows and listening to his polka music.  He would often be found eating at his favorite restaurants while either enjoying a warm cup of coffee or a cold beer or two.  He loved coming back to Brillion to watch his favorite high school sports.  Lyle will always be remembered for his passion of collecting outdoor themed paintings, saw blades, crocks and painted mushrooms.  Lyle’s uniqueness to life and smiling grin will never be forgotten.

Lyle is the oldest of ten children and is survived by his siblings: Allan (Donna) Miller of Brillion, Gertrude (Gene) Zipperer of Reedsville, Norbert (Debra) Miller of Greenleaf, Alice (Russ) Zimmerman of Manitowoc, Jeanette (Vic) Wenzel of Collins, Joe (Doris) Miller of Brillion, Christine (Tom) Haelfrisch of Brillion and  Paul (Laurie) Miller of Reedsville, He is further survived by his God Daughter Carla Gemignani and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and a great niece.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, June 21st, 2018,  beginning with visitation for family and friends from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 West Ryan St. Brillion. Father Timothy Brandt will be officiating a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM.  Burial will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Kasson.

A special thank you to his up north neighbors Larry and Ilene, for their friendship and kindness given to Lyle.
