OBITUARY: Susan A. Lemke

Susan A. Lemke, age 75, of Brillion, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017.


Susan was born on January 23, 1941, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Harvey and Esther (Siegmund) Reichart. She was a graduate of Northwestern Prep High School in Watertown, class of 1959. She went on to further her education at Concordia University in Chicago with a degree in Education. Susan was a teacher at Trinity Lutheran School in Brillion, a teacher at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville, and a tutor at the Sylvan Learning Center in Appleton. She enjoyed volunteering and was always willing to try new things. Susan and her sister, Sally, took trips and spent as much time as they could together. Susan enjoyed cross stitch, making many gifts for her grandchildren, and spending time with her family and her special group of ladies.

Susan is survived by her two sons and one daughter-in-law: Jim and Tracy Lemke of Brillion and their children: Tori and Tyler, and John Lemke of Kimberly and his children: Max, Jordan (James) Kammueller, Lea, and Emily; one sister and brother-in-law: Sally and Ken Cromer of Oregon; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (NOON) on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Rev. Ross Henzi and Rev. Thomas Fricke will officiate. Susan will then be cremated and laid to rest at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Freedom.

Friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at West Haven for their care and compassion that was shown to Mom and our family.
