WRIGHTSTOWN – A Wrightstown couple, Bradley and Kimberly Fahrenkrug, have been charged in Brown County with five felony counts, all related to the torture and starvation of their five-year old adopted son.

The two suspects are in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bonds, and will be back in court on July 25. The boy has been removed from the home, along with the couple’s two natural-born children, ages eight and 13.

The five-year old weighed only 29 pounds when he was seen at a Madison hospital in April, and authorities were called.

Although both parents face the same charges, as parties to the crimes, the criminal complaint accuses Kimberly Fahrenkrug, as the more culpable in the abuse of the boy, who was treated as a prisoner in the home, according to investigators from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

A complete report will appear in the July 13 print edition of The Brillion News.
