TOWN OF BRILLION - A collision between a motorcycle and pickup truck around 7:35 a.m. on Monday, August 30, claimed the life of a 42-year old Brillion woman.

She was on a motorcycle, headed north on Calumet County PP when her motorcycle was struck by a pickup truck eastbound on Calumet County K.

Traffic on PP has the right of way at the intersection.

The truck was driven by an 18-year old male from Sherwood.

Emergency medical personnel from Gold Cross Ambulance and the ThedaStar EMS helicopter were unable to save the woman's life and she died at the scene.

"The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and is cooperating with the investigation," said Lt. Eric Voland of the Calumet County Sheriff's Office.

In addition to the sheriff's office and EMS personnel, the scene was also attended by the Brillion Fire Department, Brillion EMS First Responders, Brillion Police Department, and the Calumet County Highway Department.

The Wisconsin State Patrol also attended and is assisting the sheriff's office with the investigation.

Both county highways were closed for over three hours.

The sheriff's office has not released the names of either party involved in the crash.
