STILES – The Oconto County Sheriff’s Department said a 62-year old man from the Whitelaw area was killed on Monday, November 19, in a one-vehicle crash.

He is David Piper, and funeral services for him have been scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 1124 Main Street, Kellnersville. The Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate. Relatives and friends may call on Monday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. An obituary for David Piper be seen at www.jensreinboldandpfeffer.com

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. at U.S. 141 and State 22. Witnesses said the vehicle Piper was driving went off the pavement and rolled down an embankment near the ramp from 22 to southbound 141.

Piper was found alone in the vehicle and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Investigating officers believe weather was a factor because the roads were icy from fresh snow.
