Woman tries to evade Wrightstown PD

WRIGHTSTOWN - The Wrightstown Police Department posted the update below on April 20, 2021.


A 45 year old Wrightstown woman was taken into custody after an attempt to evade police on foot on Park Street near Green Street. A WPD Officer saw a van pull into a driveway on Broadway Street near the Bridge. Officer recognized the vehicle of an individual wanted by Wrightstown Police and had warrants through another County. Female took off on foot through the back yards towards Park Street. Several citizens assisted Officers pointing out where the female ran. WPD Officer found the female walking away from him in a driveway on Park Street when she finally complied with the Officers lawful orders to stop and get on the ground. WPD Officers took the female into custody without further incident.

Thank you to our community members and the Brown County Sheriff's Office for their assistance. Great job to all involved.

The situation is resolved and there is no threat to the community.
