OBITUARY: Patricia L. (Toomey) Granata

Patricia L. (Toomey) Granata, age 89 of Brillion West Haven, died on Tuesday April 25, 2017.

She was born in Brillion on August 3, 1927, daughter of the late William and Mary (Scharenbroch) Toomey. Pat was a graduate of Brillion High School and worked for General Motors for several years. On April 7, 1951, she married Fred C. Granata, he preceded her in death on April 14, 1955. Pat lived in Lagrange Park Illinois for 60 years and lived in Brillion for the last 2 years.

Survivors include a sister, Jeri (Alan) Edwards of Carson City NV. and their 5 children, Mary Beth, Patricia, Sharon, Mark and Dan and their families, a special niece, Sandy Jandrey of Collins, 3 aunts, Louise Mertens, Rosie (Wilmer) Geary and Rita Scharenbroch. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Fred, 2 sisters, Dorothy Toomey and Joyce Jandrey and good friend Irene Orum.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. Father Timothy Brandt will officiate. Burial will be at the Queen of Heaven cemetery in Hillside IL. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.

The family would like to especially thank Yvette Doud, Pat’s caring neighbor in Illinois, Heartland Hospice and the entire staff at Brillion West Haven for all their compassionate care and concern given to Pat.
